The mission of the Center for Ethics and Values is to foster thoughtful, informed, and nuanced exploration of pressing ethical issues in areas such as health care, science, engineering, technology, law, politics, economics, business, media, education, arts, and public life. The Center for Ethics and Values serves as a hub for a variety of interdisciplinary activities that bring the expertise of philosophy to bear on the complex and significant ethical issues of importance to researchers and students across the university, as well as to the broader community UMBC serves.
