About

Center for Ethics & Values LogoThe mission of the Center for Ethics and Values is to foster thoughtful, informed, and nuanced exploration of pressing ethical issues in areas such as health care, science, engineering, technology, law, politics, economics, business, media, education, arts, and public life. The Center aims to provide a locus for interdisciplinary engagement among researchers, students, and the broader public, while recognizing the value of formal training in ethics to better understand and address the significant and complex ethical issues facing us today. The Center for Ethics and Values serves as a hub for a variety of activities that bring the expertise of philosophy to bear on ethical issues of importance to researchers and students across the university, as well as to the broader community UMBC serves.

We’d love to hear from you!
